3D scan of a head Your first 3D scan?
Read here»
Our 3D scanner is a device capable of reconstructing the 3D surface of real objects into 3D models. It can be used to provide great reference or even bypass 3D object modeling by hand in certain cases. It uses laser beams for measurements (non-contact measurement), can be simply transported and used even for scientific purposes (e.g. archaeological).
Attention! We provide scanning itself and basic data conversion. At the moment, we are very sorry we are unable to provide dedicated operator for shell aligning without agreement in advance, however it is possible to use our in-house system for data processing, if agreed. 3D scanner
- Minolta Vivid 900
- Type of device: laser goniometer (note - inevitable depth noise is inherent to this kind of scanners)
- Resolution: map of 640x480 z-depth values per take
- Distance of object from the scanner: roughly 0.5 ~ 1.2m
- Laser: red laser, Class 2 (IEC60825-1) Class 1 (FDA)
- Absolute precision of z-axis measurement: 0.1 to 1.5mm depending on lens used (lower precision for greater distance from the scanner and wide angle lenses)
- Optional RGB photo fits to z-data map for easier shell registration or basic texturing
- More details (tech specs) here » (compatible with 910i)
3D scanner
- Software – Package able to register multiple shells (merging takes of a object from different angles into one 3D mesh):
*
Minolta tool PET for automatic shell registration
* Rapid Form premier software for advanced processing of most complicated 3D structures
- The device is custom enhanced for additional and more precise diffuse texture data readings.
